Adventure Play Heals

Children in the US today are suffering widely from two major losses. Over the past century they have lost the freedom to play on their own, without hovering adult supervision, and they have lost the deep connection to the natural world that our species evolved for. (These losses have also occured for adults.)
Red Eft Play is a small effort to address these deficits with a dedicated two-acre play-space in the New England forest.
Adventure Play does not include toys. Instead, children are provided with a rich environment full of “loose parts”—any object that is useful or interesting to them, but not designed explicitly for play. They are then free to create, build, pretend, and in all ways intereact with the environment, and each other.
The forest itself provides most of our loose parts, but we also add interesting materials.

Two teachers are on staff at all times to supervise, help, and ensure safety.

What happens here is up to the children.
